Welcome and thanks for visiting my website.
I am a freelance professional photographer and photojournalist based in Brussels, Belgium.
I work with journalists and NGOs to bring their work to life with visual storytelling and powerful imagery.
Before photography I worked in humanitarian aid and peace-building for the UN, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and several non-profit organisations.
My photography is a continuation of this work: exploring the aftermath of violent conflict, and the activist's drive to take on immense challenges. I'm interested in people who are trying to solve really hard problems, whether personal, social, or global, and whether in new or old ways.
I'm a member of the National Union of Journalists and of Viewfinders, a photography club in Brussels. I speak English, French and German, as well as some conversational Irish and Dutch.
