Amazonian Indigenous Leaders' Delegation to Brussels

Commission for Greenpeace, 2019

In November 2019, a delegation of Brazilian indigenous leaders visited Brussels as part of the "Indigenous Blood: Not a Single Drop More" campaign, to draw attention to mounting violence against indigenous Amazonian people from illegal logging.

The leaders, supported by Greenpeace, met European Commission First Vice President Frans Timmermans and called on Europe to reduce its timber consumption which is driving logging, environmental degradation, and targeted violence in the Amazon.
